The most popular vengeance story in Japan is “Ako Roshi” in Edo period. This is a historical matter in 1703, and soon it was dramatized at kabuki. They changed character’s name, such as, leader Kuranosuke Oishi was changed Yuranosuke Oboshi. This ukiyoe is an actor Sojyuro Sawamura III as Yuranosuke by Kunisada Utagawa in 1863. It is at Tokyo national museum.
